“It’s an absolute privilege to receive the baton from the original steering group and, as incoming chair, to take Leeds 2023 into its new phase as an independent organisation. Leeds’ cultural scene is bursting with talent, ideas and opportunity and I am now seeking trust members to join the new board and work with me to ensure that Leeds 2023 supports the extraordinary growth in cultural activity that’s already happening and to develop it further both locally, nationally and internationally”.
Ruth Pitt, Chair of Leeds 2023
