LEEDS 2023 will be a landmark year of culture for the city and region. Our ambitious and ground-breaking programme will transform people’s perceptions of Leeds, confirming it as an international centre of cultural activity and cementing its reputation as a cultural giant in the world.

Showcasing creativity across all forms of culture, we will partner with local, national and international artists, creatives and storytellers to deliver a series of world-class signature events across the year. From dance to design, art to architecture, poetry to pop, sculpture to sport, there will be something for everyone!

LEEDS 2023 will be an explosion of colour, noise and brilliance that will show the world in our city and our city to the world.

What are we looking for?

We are now looking for a dynamic, strategic, and highly organised Volunteering Manager to develop and establish our volunteering programme and recruit a small team to deliver it. We want our programme to offer rounded and inspiring experiences for volunteers, as well as increase the number and range of volunteers from across the city with different life experiences including those that might not have recognised that cultural volunteering is for them.

We want the LEEDS 2023 volunteering programme to reflect the overarching values, aims and principles of the year of culture under our brand proposition ‘Letting Culture Loose’ including around:
