Calling all artists and arts organisations

We are in the process of developing a surprising and ambitious programme for LEEDS 2023 and as we build towards our Year of Culture there will be lots of opportunities to get involved. We will post opportunities for artists and cultural and heritage organisations on our Get Involved Page.

We have two live opportunities available for artists, creatives, collectives and organisations.

My World My City My Neighbourhood
Applications are open to be part of this new project that will celebrate the creativity and culture that exists within the many neighbourhoods that make up our city. 23 artists will work in 23 communities between September 2021 – February 2022, to co-create ideas with the people who live and work there. Applications close on 19th July 12pm.

Seed Commissions
You can apply for a seed commission of £2000 (plus access costs) to support a period of time to develop an idea to the LEEDS 2023 programme strands. At this stage we are not expecting fully formed ideas. What we want to know is how the programme strands relate to your practice and how you will approach developing the idea. Applications are open now until 15th June 12pm. You’ll need to fill out an expression of interest form.

We will be hosting drop in sessions where you can ask us questions about the two opportunities. We won’t advise whether you should or shouldn’t apply. However, we can answer any questions you might have about the project or process.
