We’ve partnered with Story Makers Company at Leeds Beckett University to present Reimagining Home, a unique, live, online, immersive, interactive story for KS2 pupils. The online experience addresses themes of climate change, separation and wellbeing, covering a broad range of cross-curricula outcomes including English, Science, History, Expressive Arts, and Geography.

This opportunity will help develop children’s oracy, communication, and inquiry skills, as well as positive attitudes towards writing through creative expression.

Register your interest now to provide an engaging and fun introduction to live art, creative expression, and museums for your pupils!

This project is now fully booked.

What to expect

Here's what you can expect from the Reimagining Home online experience.

1

Pupils will be asked to create an ID to enter Reimagining Home online.

2

Once entered, they will be invited to explore three immersive settings: a dark and unfamiliar cave, a barren wasteland, and a place of hope, Anksi, our green Earth in the future where they will curate a living museum.

3

The experience is a journey from uncertainty to hope, as they make their own creative changes to the story and respond to prompts about the cave, the wasteland and Anksi.

Expected Outcomes

The experience is a journey from uncertainty to hope, as they make their own creative changes to the story and respond to prompts about the cave, the wasteland and Anksi. Each setting features immersive videos and museum artefacts, using cutting-edge immersive technology.

This opportunity will help develop children’s oracy, communication, and inquiry skills, as well as positive attitudes towards writing through creative expression.

1

Both online and offline, children are encouraged to use a range of expressive arts and storytelling methods.

2

They can share and upload responses connecting them locally and globally as they co-create the story, making responsible choices together.

3

They can sing, draw, dance or write their responses as they curate these worlds incorporating a range of expressive arts subjects. This provides a sense of hope, empowerment, and imaginative freedom.
