Explore creative career paths with British luxury brand, Burberry
We’ve partnered with British luxury brand, Burberry, to provide a sneak peek into the fashion industry as well as insight into the plethora of career paths available within a creative business.
The Burberry Careers Roadshow is an opportunity for KS4 pupils and teachers to discover how skills taught as part of the national curriculum can be translated into future career paths in the creative industry.
KS4 pupils will explore how Burberry's brand values shape both their people and their business, and dive deeper into the career routes available through the following three sessions.
How to Build a Business and How to Build a Career in Luxury Fashion are fully booked now. Life After School is an online session and still open for registration.
Virtual Event, 1 hour
This is an interactive virtual session featuring the origins and heritage of Burberry as a modern British luxury brand.
Supported by a varied range of career stories from colleagues across the business, learners will explore different careers available within Burberry and how company values underpin everything that they do.
Fully booked now
In-person in the classroom, 2 hours
During this session, learners will be introduced to Burberry and its structure. This will include a breakdown of the departments and how each role contributes to the wider company. They will also learn about what makes a successful business, touching on themes from marketing and creative vision, to people and purpose.
Learners will then break into small groups to 'create their own business'. Working collaboratively with the insight of the session, they'll consider all of the components of brand-building, from a company name and logo to the full infrastructure. At the end, each working group will be given the opportunity to present their business idea to the Burberry panel.

Through the session, they’ll learn about the range of roles available in a creative business and how people from an array of backgrounds and skill sets can be a part of the fashion industry.
