Kate is a Creative Producer with a passion for artistically ambitious projects which bring communities together and reach new audiences who don’t regularly experience the arts. She works across a variety of art forms – from theatre and dance to visual arts and music, with a particular focus on work which takes place in non-traditional spaces and in the public realm.
Kate worked for the Royal Exchange Theatre in Manchester for 12 years between 2004 and 2016, delivering a range of participatory projects with young people, adults and community members. On leaving the Exchange she worked as a freelance producer for a number of organisations including Walk the Plank, Common Wealth Theatre, the National Trust and Mr Wilson’s Second Liners. Kate also has a long-standing relationship with Manchester International Festival (where she is currently a core member of the Producing team) and has produced 8 new commissions for the Festival since 2015.
