The iconic Leeds West Indian Carnival turns 50 this year, and as you’d expect carnival will be celebrating the occasion in its own unique, colourful and sequin-clad style.
The city will be getting in carnival mood, celebrating for the whole year with a range of community events, star-studded performances, pop-ups and parades. Leeds 2023 is proud to be shaking our very own tail feather and supporting the 50th anniversary by inviting major international stars of Soca to make the birthday weekend in sound style.
Expect all your favourite jaw dropping costumes from across the UK and the perfect recipe of tastes, sights and sounds that make Leeds West Indian Carnival Europe’s oldest and most adored Caribbean carnival.
